A tiny adjustment

My wife said she picked out a Halloween costume for me. I scoffed when she clipped fairy wings onto my back. I wasn't laughing for long, however.  My body started to change into an exact copy of the woman at my office with whom I had an affair. To make things worse, the costume also shrank me until I was six inches tall!

Ski accident

The papers listed my disappearance as a 'ski accident', and my body was assumed missing under the avalanche.  Little did anyone know that I skied off the trail into a magical glen. The fairies there decided it would be funny if they turned Ski Bum Bill into Ski Bunny Brenda.  At least they made my new body resistant to the cold. I can ski all year round, now.

Fairy in a jar

I didn't believe in fairies either, until I found an injured one in my back yard. I suppose I could have nursed her back to health, but instead I put her in a jar so I could show her to the world. She begged for her freedom, offering me youth and sexual charisma in exchange for unscrewing the lid. I should have demanded specifics before letting her go.

Scale differences

Holding the magic sword over my head activated the curse that turned me into a fairy. To change back, I just have to do it again. But there's a problem: at only six inches tall, how am I ever going to lift it?
